An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Kitchen Porter to join the Ulster Reform Club in Belfast. The Ulster Reform Club, established in 1885, is an exclusive private members club in the heart of Belfast City Centre.

We pride ourselves on Hospitality, Conviviality & Individuality, offering a bespoke and high-quality food and beverage service to our members. This is an ideal venue for a wide range of private member-only conferences, banqueting and celebrations as well as a busy local food and beverage operation in our Members Dining Room.

Supporting our well-established Kitchen team at the Ulster Reform Club we are looking for a confident Kitchen Porter to assist with the day-to-day Operations in the kitchen.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about service, has attention to detail and enjoys delivering consistent first-class customer experience.

What will I be doing?

This position will play an integral role in the day-to-day operations in the Club Dining Room.

You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Ensure a high standard of cleanliness & tidiness in all working areas.

Washing Dishes in a timely manner,

Assist the chefs with food preparation,

Maintaining the cleanliness of our main kitchen and additional kitchen areas,

Cleaning of kitchen equipment,

Assisting with checking and receiving deliveries

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate for the Kitchen Porter role will have:

Held a similar role previously.

4- or 5-star experience, in either hotels, events or hospitality setting.

Understanding of Kitchen Operations,

Attention to detail.

What we are offering

This is a part-time position, c.20 plus hours per week working maximum 5 days out of 7, that will be based on the operational requirements of the Club.

We are offering a competitive salary of 12.81 per hour.

In addition, Staff Fund payment (gratuities)

You will receive a total of 28 days annual leave per year, pro-rata, with our holiday year running from April 1st to March 31st.

Currently, 15 days per year are customary closures, these include Public Holidays as well as Christmas closures from the evening of Christmas Eve until early January.
