We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will support our cooks and chefs by ensuring that all kitchen areas are well-organised and equipped for food preparation.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, floors, and equipment. Wash and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly after use. Assist cooks with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring that ingredients are ready for use. Help with the storage of food items in accordance with health and safety regulations. Dispose of waste correctly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing additional assistance as required. Maintain a tidy and organised kitchen environment to promote efficiency.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential. Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. A basic understanding of food hygiene practices and health and safety regulations. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Good communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen staff. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn from experienced cooks and chefs.

Pay: 10.00-13.00 per hour
