Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly. Support chefs and kitchen staff by keeping work areas tidy and organised. Help with the storage and proper handling of food items to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in the delivery of food to service areas as required. Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitising surfaces. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is highly desirable. Basic food preparation skills, with an understanding of culinary practices. Familiarity with cooking techniques and kitchen equipment is advantageous. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and efficiency. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy setting. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service to guests.
