Job Description

Duffryn FFrwd Manor Nursing & Residential Care Home is a privately owned Care Home in Nantgarw, near Caerphilly, Pontypridd and just off the M4 corridor. We are looking to appoint a Bank Kitchen Porter (with a view to becoming permanent) in a busy kitchen. This job includes weekend work (on a rota basis). You must be able to drive (due to our location) and able to start at 7.00am.

We are looking for someone who can work as a team with a "hands-on approach" to carryout duties as follows:

Helping with breakfasts e.g. cooking eggs, making toast etc.
Helping out with the morning & afternoon tea trolley
Making sandwiches
Wash and peel vegetables etc.
Washing pots and pans
Loading the dishwasher
Making sure the fridges and other machines are wiped down regularly
Making sure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times
Unloading deliveries and helping to put away stock
Providing support to the Chefs

We offer 2 free uniforms, free on-site training, free parking, double time for working Christmas and New Year and time and a half for all other Bank Holidays, meals at a reduced rate and a good pension scheme.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-12.30 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
