Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation while assisting chefs and cooks in food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for hospitality and an eagerness to learn within the culinary field.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Ensure all kitchen areas are well-organised and stocked with necessary supplies. Support the culinary team by delivering items as needed throughout the kitchen. Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed. Help maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in regular cleaning duties, including deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and surfaces.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is desirable but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn. A basic understanding of food preparation techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team to deliver exceptional service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs.
