Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items under the guidance of chefs and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking tasks as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff. Assist with inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and reporting any shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining cleanliness standards. A positive attitude and willingness to learn within a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for hospitality and providing excellent service to guests.
