We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness and assisting with food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary and hospitality sectors, particularly within a restaurant or hotel environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooking. Keep kitchen equipment and utensils clean and in good working order. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies. Ensure waste is disposed of properly and recycling practices are followed. Support the kitchen team during busy periods by providing additional assistance as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a culinary or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in food preparation and cooking is desirable. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities within the kitchen.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 11.44-16.11 per hour
