Duties

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients. Ensure that all kitchen areas are tidy and well-organised, including storage areas and work surfaces. Help with the loading and unloading of deliveries, ensuring that stock is stored correctly. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the kitchen management team promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in food preparation and culinary practices within the hospitality sector. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and helping others in the kitchen.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
