Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, supporting food preparation, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food service and hospitality, with a desire to grow within the culinary field.

Duties

Assist in food preparation tasks under the guidance of the Head Chef and their team Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, and pans Ensure all cooking equipment is cleaned and sanitised after use Support cooking staff with basic food handling and serving duties Assist in inventory management by organising supplies and ingredients Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory Familiarity with food handling practices and safety standards Experience in food service or hospitality is a plus Knowledge of cooking techniques and banquet experience is advantageous Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work well under pressure Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
