The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Wash, dry, and store all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks.
Ensure all waste is disposed of properly and recycling procedures are followed.
Support the culinary team during busy service periods by helping with ingredient preparation.
Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with stock rotation and inventory management as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
A keen interest in food preparation and culinary practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
