Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained. Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly. Help with the storage of food items and supplies, ensuring proper labelling and rotation to maintain freshness. Support the cooking staff during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and waste disposal. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all kitchen staff.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts or hospitality is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to food preparation and kitchen operations.
