The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and cooks. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and maintaining a tidy work area. Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Assist in maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages.

Skills

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for the hospitality industry is key. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Basic understanding of food hygiene practices. Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities within the culinary field. A passion for food preparation and an interest in developing culinary skills.

Pay: 10.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 39 per week
