Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables as directed by the chefs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised and free from clutter. Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly to support the kitchen's workflow. Help with stock rotation and storage of food items, ensuring that all products are stored correctly and safely. Support chefs during service by fetching ingredients or equipment as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices. Assist in maintaining a tidy dining area when required, contributing to an excellent guest experience.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. Strong interest in food preparation and culinary arts within the hospitality industry. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure environment. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
