Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and organisation while supporting our culinary staff. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for hospitality and an interest in food preparation within a restaurant or hotel environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking and food service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Support chefs and cooks by providing necessary items during food preparation. Dispose of waste and ensure recycling protocols are followed. Assist with stock rotation and inventory management as required. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn. A basic understanding of food preparation techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration within the culinary team. Willingness to help others and take on various tasks as needed in a busy kitchen setting.
