Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

Kitchen Pot Washer / Dessert Assistant

to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen while assisting in preparing and plating dessert orders. This hybrid role is crucial in ensuring hygiene standards are upheld and guests enjoy beautifully presented desserts.

Key Responsibilities:Pot Washing & Kitchen Maintenance (Approx. 70%)



Wash and sanitize pots, pans, cooking utensils, and other kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand. Ensure all items are properly stored and readily available for kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and order in the dishwashing and kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces. Empty bins and dispose of kitchen waste according to hygiene standards. Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the Head Chef or Supervisor.

Dessert Assistance (Approx. 30%)



Assist pastry chef or kitchen staff with preparing, garnishing, and plating desserts according to restaurant standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dessert station and relevant tools. Refill and rotate dessert components (e.g., sauces, fruits, toppings) as needed. Communicate with waitstaff and chefs to ensure timely and accurate delivery of dessert orders. Adhere to food safety and handling procedures at all times.

Requirements:



Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred but not essential. Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Good communication skills and attention to detail. Willingness to take direction and learn new tasks. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying.

Work Environment:



Fast-paced commercial kitchen environment. May require evening, weekend, or holiday shifts depending on business needs. Standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour
