Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Kitchen Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating customised kitchen layouts that optimise space, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. This role involves collaborating closely with clients to understand their needs and translating their visions into practical and stylish designs using industry-standard software. A strong emphasis on communication, organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail are essential to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

Duties

Develop customised kitchen designs using SketchUp, CAD, and other design software to produce accurate visualisations and technical drawings. Consult with clients to understand their preferences, lifestyle requirements, and budget constraints. Present design proposals effectively, highlighting features such as colour schemes, materials, and layout options. Assist clients in selecting appropriate products through upselling techniques while maintaining a focus on their needs. Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure seamless project execution from conception to installation. Organise project timelines, manage multiple client projects simultaneously, and ensure timely delivery of design solutions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current trends in merchandising, colour schemes, and innovative kitchen solutions. Communicate clearly with clients in English and Spanish (if applicable), ensuring all specifications are accurately conveyed. Support the merchandising process by recommending suitable products that align with client preferences and current market trends.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software for detailed kitchen modelling and technical drawings. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently. Excellent communication skills in English. Effective upselling techniques combined with a customer-focused approach to enhance sales opportunities. Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and budgeting purposes. Good understanding of merchandising principles to recommend appropriate products. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining attention to detail. Organised with strong time-management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
