Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. Engage in food preparation tasks, including chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Support catering operations by preparing dishes for events and special occasions. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen supervisor. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a focus on cooking and meal preparation. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential. Experience in catering or restaurant settings will be advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques within the culinary field. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
