Job Description

The Lobster Shack in Whitstable is a busy beach-front bar and restaurant.

We are currently looking for new members to join our friendly team to work in the kitchen.

Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, willing to learn and motivated.

Both full time and part time hours available.

Summary



As a Kitchen Staff member, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, contributing to food preparation and maintaining kitchen safety standards. This role requires a passion for cooking and a willingness to learn, as no prior experience is necessary. You will assist in meal preparation and support catering operations, ensuring high-quality food service. Your core skills in kitchen experience and food safety, along with relevant skills in serving, will help create a positive dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities



Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to ensure food safety. Support cooking staff in meal preparation and plating dishes. Follow established recipes and cooking techniques to ensure quality. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations. Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling food and equipment.

Pay: 8.60-12.24 per hour
