Fire & Flank is growing fast - and we're on the hunt for a Kitchen Supervisor to help lead our Cardiff team across a range of sites, events and pop-ups. From searing sous-vide steak at Tiger Yard to feeding festival crowds with loaded fries and our signature chimichurri, no two days are the same.
Where You'll Work
This role is based in Cardiff and involves working across:
Tiger Yard (Cardiff Bay) - our main permanent pitch
KONGS Bar (City Centre) - fast-paced city-centre service
Events & Festivals - from Street Food Circus to Food & Drink Fest, UK Festivals and private hire gigs
You'll need to be flexible and able to drive, as travel between sites is essential. Use of a company vehicle is available for certain shifts/events.
What You'll Do
As Kitchen Supervisor, you'll:
Lead service and support the team in delivering consistently high-quality food
Cook and finish flank steak using sous-vide and high-heat searing techniques
Manage prep, hygiene, and kitchen organisation across multiple sites
Train new staff, lead by example, and keep the vibe upbeat under pressure
Support with setup and breakdown at events/pop-ups when required
What We're Looking For
1+ year kitchen supervisor or CDP experience
Confidence working in fast-paced environments (street food, casual dining, or pubs ideal)
Full UK driving licence - must be comfortable travelling between sites
Great communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
Passion for food and a strong work ethic - we take pride in what we serve
