We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and cooking, along with strong leadership skills to effectively manage kitchen operations. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that food safety standards are maintained while fostering a positive and productive work environment. The Kitchen Supervisor will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and served promptly.

Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques. Ensure that all food safety regulations and standards are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes. Train new staff on kitchen procedures, food production techniques, and safety protocols. Monitor food quality during service, ensuring that all dishes meet the establishment's standards. Assist in the preparation of meals during peak service times as needed. Foster a positive team atmosphere through effective communication and leadership.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. Excellent team management abilities with a focus on leadership and motivation. Previous experience in hotel or barista settings is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food production processes.
