We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen (Dinner) Supervisor to oversee our Dinner team in a busy kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food production, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is crucial in building and maintaining an efficient kitchen operation while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Duties
Supervise daily dinner operations, ensuring all staff adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Lead and manage the dinner team, providing training and support to enhance culinary skills and teamwork.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of dishes.
Collaborate with management to develop menus that meet customer expectations while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed, and managing stock rotation to minimise waste.
Ensure the kitchen environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Assist in the preparation of meals as needed, demonstrating culinary expertise in various cooking techniques.
Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a culinary environment, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Experience in bartending is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
