Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in preparing delicious meals for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in kitchen operations and food preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes are served promptly.

Working hours are seasonal due to the sports seasons; September to May, an average of 32 hours per week over four days. June to August, an average of 15 hours per week.

Duties
- Manage all aspects of food preparation with the assistance of kitchen staff.

- Prepare high quality, fresh meals, ensuring it is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively

- Menu planning for club events, match days and special occasions.

- Coordinate with club management to meet client needs for events and functions.

- Hire, train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring excellent service and food quality.

- Manage kitchen staff rota and break allocations.

- Manage food costs, ordering and collecting supplies, and maintaining inventory to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

- Manage all aspects of food hygiene and health and safety for all kitchen staff, including recording data such as fridge/freezer and food temperature checks.

- Ensure a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests, handling customer feedback and ensuring satisfaction.

Skills
- Proficiency in culinary techniques and meal preparation
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Experience working in a restaurant or similar setting
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
