Responsibilities
Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation and cooking activities meet quality standards.
Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
Maintain inventory levels of food supplies and equipment.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols at all times.
Assist in cooking and food preparation as needed, demonstrating culinary expertise when required.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and effective communication among staff.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or restaurant setting.
Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.
Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
