Key responsibilities:

Supervise day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure smooth, efficient service. Support the Head Chef in managing and motivating the kitchen team. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. Ensure all food is prepared and served in line with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and reduce food waste. Oversee food preparation and cooking to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Train and support junior kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and efficiency. Manage kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and equipment maintenance. Assist with rota planning and shift coverage when needed. Communicate effectively with front-of-house and management teams.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in a supervisory or senior kitchen role. Strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices. Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure. Good communication and teamwork abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic understanding of stock control and ordering processes. Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours. Food Hygiene Level 2 (or higher) certification preferred.
