Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will actively contribute to overseeing the day-to-day operations of various designated Kitchen Units. Taking a hands-on approach, you will lead a team of seasonal members, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow. Your responsibilities extend to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in food production areas, as well as overseeing the upkeep of equipment and utensils. A paramount aspect of your role involves ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety legislation, guiding your immediate team in enforcing policies, procedures, and elevated cleaning standards.
Key duties will include:
To support Kitchen Production Supervisors in the delivery of designated Kitchen units
Lead the team delivery of food production and health and safety legislation
Ensure your units are operated and maintained to department standards
Communicate and lead the team to ensure critical information is passed on in a timely matter including regular team briefings
Delegate appropriate tasks to the team
Ensure daily and weekly procedures, including temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage are carried out by the team
Support team members in delivering their roles effectively

Your contract
This is a Permanent 40 hour contract, with working hours to vary over a 7 day rota basis, including weekends, evening and bank holidays as required.
