To assist the kitchen with food preparation and cleaning.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Preparing food items and in accordance with instructions and agreed procedures
2. Helping with cooking and preparing dishes, if requested, in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
3. Cleaning crockery, pots and pans etc; removing food waste appropriately; cleaning floors equipment and surfaces.
4. Storing deliveries as soon as possible after delivery correctly (e.g.at the correct temperature and in the correct locations) and ensuring stock is rotated so that older stock is used first.
5. Following all food hygiene kitchen cleaning and other health and safety responsibilities at all times.
6. Undertaking any other duties which may be reasonably requested of you by the company for the effective function of the kitchen or cinema and to maximise its business in line with the Ashford cinema experience expectations.
Health & Safety:
Follow the Food Hygiene Regulations and Health & Safety Policies.
Work efficiently using all pieces of equipment (you have been trained on) correctly and with care.
Inform management immediately of any breaches or issues within Health & Safety.
Help monitor maintenance or repairs advising the relevant people of any issues immediately.
Open and close all areas, ensuring the relevant supporting checklists are completed.
Keep informed about business changes by attending staff meetings, reading staff notice boards and asking questions where appropriate.
Adhere to all current policies and procedures.
Along with your main duties, you will also be expected to carry out any other duties that are reasonably asked of you.
