We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals while ensuring that all food safety standards are met. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for food and a desire to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed during food preparation and storage.
Help with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
Support catering events by preparing food items as required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Skills
Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
Basic culinary skills, including food preparation techniques.
A willingness to learn and adapt to new cooking methods and styles.
Excellent teamwork skills, with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
