We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic

Kitchen Team Member / Kitchen Porter

to join our dynamic kitchen team at The Castle Inn. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:



Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen areas, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. Ensure all kitchen waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed diligently. Support the kitchen team by ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery, and cookware during service. Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs, such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients. Ensure all deliveries are checked, unpacked, and stored appropriately according to food safety regulations. Monitor and restock kitchen supplies as needed, maintaining organised storage areas. Adhere strictly to food safety and health and safety guidelines, reporting any hazards promptly. Collaborate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to support seamless service operations.

What We're Looking For:



Proven experience in a kitchen porter role, with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and efficiency. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen sanitation. A passion for supporting culinary teams and contributing to a clean and organised kitchen environment. Good organisational and multitasking abilities in a dynamic kitchen setting. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
