We'd love to hear from you if you answered yes to these questions - we are looking for a part-time team member to join our team.
The Kitchen team member will prepare & serve the Lady Dinah's food & specialty drinks service day-to-day. This will include the storage, preparation and presentation dishes from the menu. They will present food & beverages to company standards whilst maintaining a clean and tidy working environment. They will ensure all daily paperwork is filled our correctly, reporting problems to the manager. We are looking to expand our menu with new cat-themed dishes and desserts.
Day-to-day you will do shifts in the kitchen which will include daily preparation of food and drinks; plating food and drinks to guests' orders; completing cleaning and prep tasks; completing the daily paperwork and closing down the kitchen in the evening.
Your shift pattern can be negotiated with the Manager but will include weekend work and consist of up to 4 shifts a week. We are also open to x2 part-time worker of 2 days each.
Kitchen Team Member Tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Paperwork
Filling out the daily kitchen diary.
Filling out temperature checks,
Completing Cleaning and Prep Checklists.
Completing weekly stocktakes.
Food & Beverage Environment
Keeping a clean and tidy workspace.
Checking for sign of pests and reporting appropriately.
Reporting any maintenance issues to the Manager.
Team
Working cohesively with the other team members and managers across departments.
Reporting individual wins and problems to the Manager for staff performance reviews.
Kitchen Supply
Providing stock takes of longer shelf life items to the Cafe Manager on a weekly basis to ensure adequate stock levels are kept.
Keeping an eye on equipment quality and stock levels and reporting to the Cafe Manager when new or extra stock is needed.
Menu
Working with the Manager on new menu items.
Putting forward ideas for new items, processes or presentations.
Experience and Knowledge:
Kitchen Experience - Essential - Minimum 1 years
Specialty Drink Making (eg: Frappes)
Food Hygiene Level 2 - Qualification will be provided but previous knowledge is essential.
Food Allergen Training - Qualification will be provided but previous knowledge is essential.
Savoury and/or Pastry Chef Experience or training (or interest in baking)
Skills:
Familiarisation with a variety of food and drinks. Bonus points for specifically Plant-Based and Vegetarian options.
Creativity with food and drink presentation.
Great organisational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, management and guests.

Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
