Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of meals, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to create a positive dining experience for our customers while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards. Support the cook in various culinary tasks, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients. Ensure that all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and utensils. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen Manager. Participate in catering events as required, assisting with setup and service. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is essential; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is advantageous. Understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards helping others. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
