Join our dynamic kitchen team at the Golden Fleece, a vibrant and welcoming establishment in the heart of Wells-Next-The-Sea. As a Kitchen Hand, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, supporting chefs and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist chefs with food preparation tasks, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment. Ensure proper storage and handling of food items to meet hygiene and safety standards. Support the team during busy service periods by delivering supplies and assisting with plating. Monitor stock levels and notify the kitchen manager of shortages. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and handle pressure during busy periods. Strong teamwork and communication skills. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
