We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of skills and experience in various construction and maintenance tasks. This role involves working on-site to install, repair, and maintain various structures and systems, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Duties

Install roofing systems, ensuring proper alignment and secure fittings. Conduct plumbing tasks including installation and repair of pipes and fixtures. Perform welding operations for metal fabrication as required. Assist with electrical installations and repairs, adhering to safety regulations. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks. Engage in plastering work to prepare surfaces for finishing. Participate in carpentry projects, constructing frameworks and structures as needed. Read and interpret schematics to execute installation plans accurately. Carry out construction painting duties to enhance the aesthetic appeal of structures. Execute masonry work including bricklaying and stonework as required.

Skills

Proven experience in roofing, plumbing, welding, and electrical work is highly desirable. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks. Strong background in general construction practices. Familiarity with plastering techniques and materials. Experience in fabrication processes is an asset. Competence in carpentry skills for building frameworks and installations. Ability to read schematics accurately for effective execution of tasks. Knowledge of construction painting methods for surface finishing. Understanding of masonry principles for building durable structures.
