Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen/Sales Assistant to join our team at Douglas Willis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and providing excellent customer service. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about customer service and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to recipes and specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support chefs and cooks during the day by providing timely assistance as needed. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to management. Engage with customers to provide information about menu items and assist with any inquiries or special requests. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen. Occasionally helping on the shop floor and serving our customers with great service and accuracy.

Skills

Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with customers and enhance their shopping experience. Basic sales skills to promote items and encourage customer engagement. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy kitchen and shop setting. Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing kitchen demands.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
