Lochcarron of Scotland is a leading designer and manufacturer of tartan fabric and products based at Selkirk in the Scottish Borders.
About the role
A position has arisen within our busy production department at our factory in Selkirk for a Knotting Machine Operator.
The successful candidate will primarily be working on the weaving preparation with duties including:
Knotting warped jobs on a beam ready to go to a loom. Knotting beams into looms for weaving. Occasionally "drawing" new cloth qualities for the looms. Winding bobbins for the looms.
The role will involve standing for long periods of time.
Textile experience would be preferred but is not essential as training will be given. You should be accurate with good eyesight and attention to detail.
Immediate start is available and this is a full-time role, 39 hours per week over 4 days, Monday to Thursday.
