What sort of work?

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Knowledge Admin Assistant to join our experienced Knowledge and Information Services (KIS) team in our Exeter office.


In this role you will assist the team by providing efficient and effective administrative support; supporting the delivery of the KIS team. This will include:


Providing administrative support to the KIS team and KIS projects including management of processes relating to new joiners, leavers, returners, and trainee seat changes. Supporting with diary management for the KIS team including team meetings, training, and meetings with lawyers. Acquisition, processing, circulation, and return of books as required using the Library Management System. Compilation of enquiry statistics. Management of process to review content within our precedents and knowhow platform.

Why this team?

The KIS team provide a broad and invaluable knowledge and information services across all the Firm's offices. In addition to a physical library, the team manages a gigantic range of online resources, covering the full range of legal specialisms.


They ensure the legal teams are kept abreast of updates in their specialist fields and sectors and provide bespoke research to individual lawyers. The team revolves around the successful transfer of knowledge, to support our people to collaboratively learn, develop our skills and knowledge, and to improve client service.


The team are involved in a wide range of firmwide projects and work closely with the IT department on firmwide initiatives, as well as with the HR Learning team to ensure lawyers maintain their continued professional development.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for somebody who will understand our values and thrive in our culture. The role will be based in our Exeter office and the ideal candidate will have:


Previous experience in administration and data entry. Good level of basic education including Grade C or above in Maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent). Competent with Microsoft products and using data management systems. Other skills required include: Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach towards workloads. A commercial, pro-active 'can do' and professional approach to work. Thorough in approach, with excellent attention to detail. Curiosity about working practices and how to improve using advances in technology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to collaborative working and continuous improvement. Effective problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and work under own initiative.
