Taylor Root is currently seeking an experienced Knowledge Lawyer to join our client, a leading UK law firm. This role will be offered on an initial 12 month fixed term basis and will be based in the firms London office.

Our client is a leading UK media, entertainment and technology law firm who are consistently ranked among the top firms in various legal directories. With a stellar reputation in the market, the firm has represented individuals and organisations across a wide range of sectors supporting their commercial and litigious needs.

The Role

This is a newly created position for the firm and will focus on identifying the need for, creating and maintaining core materials on complex legal matters supporting the partners and associates in all aspects of their work. It will involve producing high quality knowledge content for internal and external use.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining precedent bank, ensuring precedent management and security and identifying appropriate external precedents for use and publishing them for the firms practice.
• Creating, maintaining and improving precedents, templates, standard form documents and process maps.
• Manage knowledge work products to maximise their use, ensuring appropriate use internally and maintenance of key knowledge projects.
• Working with the Managing Partner to prepare and implement ongoing knowledge plans and developing these plans towards the achievement of them.
• Monitoring legal development, trends and regulatory changes.
• Continually striving to establish knowledge as a core part of every lawyers role, engaging them actively firm wide.

Desirable Skills

• Experienced Lawyer with a strong commercial sense.
• Previous experience of working in a knowledge role or undertaking knowledge function in a prior role.
• Prior experience working for a similar (top 100) law firm.
• Preference for those who have worked in firms with a focus on media, tech and entertainment.
