Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Adult Social Care team in Knowsley. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive local authority environment, delivering high-quality social work practice to adults in the community.
You will be based at Huyton Municipal Offices for 2-3 days per week, with hybrid working arrangements available for the remainder.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake assessments and interventions in line with the Care Act 2014
Manage a varied caseload, ensuring that statutory duties are met
Carry out safeguarding investigations and contribute to safeguarding planning
Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues and external partners
Provide professional advice and support to adults, carers, and families
Maintain accurate case records in accordance with local policies and procedures
About You
We are seeking a Social Worker who has:
A recognised Social Work qualification (SW Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)
Current registration with Social Work England (SWE)
Extensive experience in safeguarding and Care Act assessments
Strong decision-making and organisational skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
