We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with recipes and safety guidelines Support the catering team during events and daily service, ensuring timely delivery of meals Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to meet hygiene standards Organise ingredients and supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate for daily operations Follow food safety procedures diligently, including proper storage and handling of ingredients Serve meals to customers or clients in a professional and courteous manner Assist with washing dishes, cleaning kitchen appliances, and waste disposal to uphold a hygienic environment Support the team in setting up and clearing down after service periods

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills is desirable Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices within a commercial kitchen setting is preferred Experience in serving or front-of-house roles can be beneficial but is not mandatory Enthusiasm for culinary activities and willingness to learn new skills are highly valued
