Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, hard working and bubbly General Assistant to join our new little restaurant and bar. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a passion for hospitality . The General Assistant will support various functions within our small establishment, from serving, KP duties and food preparation alongside the chef.

Responsibilities

Assist in food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards Provide excellent service to customers, taking orders and serving food and beverages Support catering operations during events, including setup and breakdown Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and kitchen Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally Assist with barista duties when required, preparing coffee and other beverages

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred Familiarity with catering services and food safety regulations is advantageous Experience as a barista or in food preparation will be considered a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential Knowledge of food allergens is advantageous Minimum level 2 food hygiene certification required (employer will provide this if it isn't available)
Hours to include a Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
