This is an exciting opportunity to teach Year 2 in a small village primary school within a very supportive community. This small-scale approach gives our KS1 children a real opportunity to thrive, and has resulted in excellent outcomes for them for a number of years. We are seeking a committed teacher, with a passion for a child-centred KS1 curriculum, to continue this approach and develop our provision further.


Elveden C of E Primary Academy is a small, rural school on the outskirts of Thetford and Brandon. We are very welcoming and friendly, with excellent relationships with our parents and wider community. We currently have 102 pupils on roll and will be growing to 105 with an exciting expansion in progress.


We are seeking to appoint a job share KS1 class teacher, from February 2026. There will also be the opportunity to lead curriculum subjects and this will depend on the successful candidates' particular areas of expertise, as well as the needs of the school. Experience of teaching a Year 2 class is desirable, as is a good knowledge of the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds scheme. A keen interest in outdoor learning is also something we will find in the ideal candidate.
