HEVINGHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL
PUPIL SPECIFIC TEACHING ASSISTANT
Fixed term, part time position to start ASAP
27.5 hours a week term time only - 8.45am-12.00 and 1.00-3.15pm

The post is to support a KS2 child with a range of SEMH and cognition needs.
The Governors would like to appoint someone to join our team who will:
have experience of working with children with SEND
have experience of de-escalation techniques
have good literacy and numeracy skills
be enthusiastic and have a sense of humour
be able to work as part of a team and be able to use these skills in the classroom environment to help children learn well
have a commitment to working in partnership
minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
GCSE in English and Maths
desirable - evidence of post GCSE qualifications
creativity and initiative to create resources and plan exciting, practical and meaningful learning experiences for primary aged children.
the ability to work as part of a team and be flexible.
be able to use your initiative to adapt plans and sessions to needs
a commitment to working in partnership with parents
have excellent communication skills
You will join a friendly and committed staff team in a good teaching and learning environment. There will be opportunities for continuing professional development.
