Job Title: English and Maths KS3 LAC Tutor

Job Duties:
- Provide tailored English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 Looked After Children (LAC)
- Create engaging lesson plans to support individual learning needs
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers and social workers to ensure holistic support for LAC
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with Looked After Children
- Enhanced DBS check
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with LAC
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and sensitivity towards the needs of Looked After Children
- Part-Time hours, flexible scheduling
- Work primarily with LAC in educational settings (learners homes, carehomes, local libraries)
- Collaborative work environment with teachers and social workers
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
