KS3 Learning and Behavioural Lead

(

Lead Advisor)

to join

Big Picture Learning Doncaster

, supporting young people who need a highly personalised, relationship-led approach to education. This is a senior, hands-on role where you'll combine leadership, coaching and direct work with students to help them re-engage, thrive and succeed.

As Lead Advisor, you will work closely with the Principal and wider leadership team, leading a team of Advisors and Advisory Assistants while shaping high-quality learning plans, projects, and real-world learning opportunities. Salary:

Term-time working with salary paid at 42,500

Location:

On-site, Doncaster (DN12 4EE)

Work pattern:

Monday-Friday, 8:30-16:30

Travel:

Occasional travel to other schools therefore it is essential to have a driving license and own vehicle

Annual Leave

: Up to 13 weeks off per year aligned to school holidays

What you'll do



Lead, coach and performance-manage a team of Advisors and Advisory Assistants Work with the Principal to develop and quality assure student learning plans Oversee and maintain high standards in personalised learning and project-based curriculum delivery Lead the organisation of exhibitions and sharing of student work Build and maintain strong community links and work-related learning opportunities Coordinate referrals and work closely with external agencies including SEN, Children's Services, and Youth Offending Teams Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (training provided if required) Deputise for the Principal where appropriate Lead transition and reintegration work with schools and key stakeholders Ensure assessment, tracking, and quality assurance processes are robust and effective

What you'll bring



Proven experience of leading and supporting others Experience working with young people and families, particularly those who are disengaged or face additional challenges Strong understanding of education, safeguarding and multi-agency working Ability to coach, challenge and support colleagues in a respectful and effective way Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Confidence to work autonomously and deputise for the Principal when required A commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding Resilience, creativity and a positive, solution-focused mindset Alignment with the Big Picture Learning philosophy and values A full UK driving licence with own vehicle and willingness to travel between provisions
