Job Description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational KS3 Maths Teacher who shares our commitment and vision in providing high-quality education for all our young people. Candidates must be able to confidently adapt and deliver our curriculum offer to pupils demonstrating an in-depth knowledge and across all primary learning areas. Knowledge of the KS2 and KS3 National Curriculum is essential to adapt learning, address any gaps in knowledge and ensure through monitoring and assessment the positive progression of our pupils. The post will involve teaching in KS3 alongside a tutor's responsibility.



Start date 1 January 2026.



The key purpose will be to plan, develop and deliver high-quality lessons and courses within the broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated subject area curriculum using a variety of approaches, to continually enhance teaching and learning.

Please ensure a full work history is completed, including any gaps in employment and two referees are given. Please note Ferndown Middle School does not accept CVs in place of an application form. Incomplete application forms will not be shortlisted.

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate that they meet the essential elements of the person specification and will be subject to pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS Check, Child Barred List check, satisfactory references and a health check and, where applicable, a prohibition from teaching check will be completed for all applicants.
