The Opportunity



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and skilled

KS3 Teacher

to join a dedicated and forward-thinking team at a thriving

independent SEN school in East London

. The school provides education for pupils aged

7-16

with a range of complex needs, including

Social, Emotional and Mental Health

and

Autism Spectrum Disorder

.

You will be teaching a

primary-model KS3 class

of Year 7 and 8 pupils, focusing on

core subject learning

and helping students develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for successful transition into upper Key Stage 3. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact in a setting that values creativity, compassion, and high-quality teaching.

About the Role:



As a KS3 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across

core subjects

(English, Maths, Science, PSHE), ensuring teaching is adapted to meet individual

EHCP outcomes

. You will foster a safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, resilience, and positive relationships.

You will be expected to:

Deliver well-structured, creative, and differentiated lessons across a primary-model KS3 curriculum. Support pupils with emotional regulation, social communication, and engagement in learning. Promote independence and self-confidence through positive behaviour management strategies. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure a consistent, holistic approach to each pupil's development. Contribute to the wider school community through planning, enrichment, and shared best practice.

We are looking for someone who:



Holds

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has experience of or a strong interest in working with

SEN and SEMH learners

. Demonstrates creativity, flexibility, and a nurturing approach to teaching and learning. Can deliver differentiated learning experiences to meet diverse needs and abilities. Is committed to reflective practice, teamwork, and ongoing professional development. Possesses excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
