Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Assistant to join our Technical Department Team. The successful candidate will support laboratory operations through meticulous sample handling, data recording, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Duties

Inspect / Test raw materials, products and primary packaging in line with the appropriate work instruction Prepare, label and store chemical reagents in line with the appropriate work instruction Maintain product monthly shelf-life assessment Maintain daily incubated accelerated assessments Ensure COSHH data is maintained and general safety and GLP within the labratory at all times Ensure the laboratory and test equipment in use is calibrated and validated in line with the appropriate work instruction Maintain good laboratory practice and documentation as per work instructions Document and maintain analytical results in line with the appropriate work instruction Maintain glass records within the laboratory and ensure all glass is stored and maintained in a clean hygienic manner Ensure that daily, weekly and monthly tasks are completed in a timely manner Ensure no admittance to unauthorised staff within the laboratory area General filing and organisation of quality documents to ensure they can be located quickly Assist with Quality Control Checks as per work instructions Assist with delivery checks as per work instructions Assist Technical Manager where deemed necessary

Requirements

Prior laboratory experience or relevant scientific background is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Strong analysis skills Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and data entry Competence in basic mathematics for calculations related to sample analysis and data interpretation Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Hours of Work

Monday to Thursday Inclusive from 6.30 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. [40 Hours Per Week]
