Are you passionate about science and have expertise in metal and refractory materials chemical and physical testing?

AMG Analytical (part of AMG Chrome) are looking for a Lab Shift Analyst to join our team on a full-time basis, to prepare, carry out analyses and report results on metal and refractory materials using a wide range of tests.

Duties:

Preparation of samples Undertake routine and non routine analytical work and report the results Provide Shift Team Leaders with any information needed for jobs/complaints

The ideal candidate will need:

HNC or equivalent in chemistry, metallurgy or materials engineering An understanding of the range of materials typically supplied into the laboratory Knowledge of techniques used in a laboratory (i.e. acid dilution, fusion testing techniques, XRD) Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines Strong attention to detail and level of accuracy Have a good level of IT skills

Shift Pattern:

2 x 12 hour days, 2 x 12 hour nights, 4 off

Salary:

Basic salary starting from 27,500 based on experience. A rota premium of 7,152.00 per annum on top of salary.
