The Role
Are you passionate about science and eager to make a real impact in the world of testing of allergens? We're looking for a committed Laboratory Technician to join our Allergens team!
In this key role, you will be at the forefront of our allergens testing laboratory, applying your expertise to analyse food and environmental samples. You will be responsible for preparing, plating, and incubating samples using aseptic techniques, ensuring accurate and reliable results. Your work will directly support critical testing processes and help uphold our rigorous quality standards.
We're looking for someone with at least 12 months' laboratory experience who understands the seriousness of food allergens and is passionate about helping keep products safe for all consumers.
About the role
Hours Per Week: 40
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Annual Salary: 25,834
Shift options
Monday - Friday: 13:30 - 22:00 or
Sunday: 08:00 - 16:30 and Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:30
The day to day
To perform analysis allocated in accordance with documented methodology
Follow all processes and procedures to maximise role efficiency.
Conduct daily quality control checks and calibrations of equipment
Ensure your workstation is always clean and tidy.
To conform with all site Quality Management systems and Health and safety procedures and protocols.
To keep accurate records.
The Essentials
Minimum of 12 months' experience working in a laboratory environment
Experience in a high throughput working environment
Excellent IT skills
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Be able to work under pressure.
