Job Description
OMEX is the market leader in liquid fertiliser's in the UK, manufacturing and exporting a unique range of plant nutrients and crop health promoters nationally and internationally.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the OMEX team as a Laboratory Technician. The purpose of the role will be carry out laboratory testing and QC based testing along with some project work and other laboratory based functions that may be required.
Core responsibilities:
Chemical Analyses and reporting of results Equipment maintenance Quality control of products Evaluation of raw materials Documenting test results Labelling and storage of samples Developing new formulations Working in accordance with good laboratory practice and guidelines
The Candidate Profile:
A degree in chemical sciences is preferred but not essential. The right experience will be considered. General analytical chemistry knowledge is essential, producing reliable test results Strong level analytical skills Demonstrable capability of working with complex mixtures Experience in ICP is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided Successful development and completion of self-directed projects Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Effective communication of laboratory results Excellent time management and organisational skills Be a good team worker demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the organisation and other team members Self-motivated, energetic, dependable with a clear attention to detail Be flexible with working hours when required in order to deliver the service required by our customers.
Location: Kings Lynn.
40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 12 month FTC with opportunity to extend.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
