Hours of work (including shift pattern):

38 hours per week

Week 1 = 7am - 7pm working Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Weds and Thu off)

Week 2 = 7am - 7pm working Weds and Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)
Week 3 = 7pm - 7am working Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Weds and Thu off)

Week 4 = 7pm - 7am working Weds and Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)

As a Laboratory Technician (Level 3) in our QC team, you'll perform essential testing using approved methods to ensure the quality and integrity of our products. The job role

Perform routine quality control testing using approved methods and procedures. Accurately enter and report test results in the LIMS database. Identify, report, and act on any issues affecting test accuracy or sample integrity. Test internal reference samples and take appropriate corrective actions. Adhere to ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards and all Health & Safety procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised laboratory environment in line with 5S principles. Conduct "Take 5" safety assessments and follow risk and COSHH guidance. Support continuity of QC operations, including potential to deputise for Shift Supervisors when required.

Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills. A good understanding of Imerys testing methods and procedures. Ability to work with accuracy and within testing deadlines. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Flexible, proactive approach to work and willingness to support colleagues. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and systems. Desire and aptitude to progress into supervisory or leadership roles. Legally able to drive in the UK Have experience in working in a laboratory environment, especially with regard to Health and Safety.
